Giving back with President Misti Jeter at the helm
Corporate social responsibility is an important part of Interceptor’s philosophy
Interceptor President and founder, Misti Jeter, is incredibly passionate about being involved in charitable causes and her local community, and she sets the CSR standard for Interceptor and BlackPearl Technology.
Community engagement and philanthropy have always been a focal point of Jeter’s life and career. As a breast cancer survivor, Jeter has experienced adversity and come out the other side with a mission to help others. For the last several years, BlackPearl Technology—the Interceptor’s parent company—has focused its CSR efforts on cancer awareness and research.
When Jeter is not working on next-generation technology and product development through Interceptor and BlackPearl Technology, she and her team are found volunteering and supporting a number of causes. Jeter is a co-founder and spokesperson for Beyond the Bell, Board President for the Celebrate Your Life organization, a foodbank supporter and gala co-chair for the Montgomery County Food Bank, and she has been part of the top corporate fundraising team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. Other organizations the team supports include the American Cancer Society, AHA Montgomery County Go Red for Women, CASA Montgomery County, and the St. Jude’s International Gala.
Whether it is sitting on the board for a charitable organization or volunteering for a local event, the team integrates giving back to the community into their everyday lives. They believe that every business should focus on the ways that they can use their time and resources to benefit those around them.
